Trey Jonson and Cody Morrison were named to the Region XIV All Region team. Trey Johnson was also selected as an Honorable Mention All American outfielder. Michael Dixon became the third member of the 2009 Bucs to sign with Mississippi State University as well.

Bucs knocked back Galveston
The nostalgia of Blinn College baseball of the 1920s and 30s brought back good memories and made new ones this weekend. On Saturday in a "Turn Back the Clock" benefit game, the Bucs knocked back Galveston College 10-1 behind the pitching of Zach Hardoin. Hardoin threw six innings with six strikeouts and one earned run. Trey Johnson and Mario Eramo each hit two-run homeruns in the opening inning to spark the Buc offense. The second game saw more offense than the first as both teams combine for 19 hits. as the Bucs came away with a 10-5 victory. The five homers in the doubleheader gave the team a season total of 103. Blinn will host the Region XIV Baseball Tournament May 9-13 at Leroy Dryer Field.

The Blinn College baseball team defeated Galveston 10-5 in Alvin behind seven strong innings from starting pitcher Trenton Irwin and a three-run home run from Chris Hernandez. Galveston rallied to score four runs in the ninth inning, but the Buccaneers’ lead held. Second baseman Michael Guerra drove in three runs and third baseman David Tittle doubled twice and drove in two. Blinn and Galveston will meet again at Leroy Dreyer Field on Saturday in the final conference game. The doubleheader at 1 p.m. is also a “Turn Back the Clock” event with the Bucs wearing replica uniforms from the 1920s and 30s. Proceeds go to Hospice Brazos Valley.
Blinn will host the Region XIV tournament starting May 9.

Bucs Sweep Doubleheader
Blinn College swept a doubleheader from Wharton County Junior College on Sunday 10-4 and 15-2 with eight home runs. The sweep extend the Buccaneers’ winning streak to eight games. Zach Hardoin and Michael Dixon led from the mound improving Blinn’s record to 35-13, 19-8 in Region XIV. The Bucs are in second place in the region with one conference series remaining. Blinn hosts Richland College on Tuesday at 5 p.m. and opens a series against Galveston on Wednesday game. The doubleheader on Saturday against Galveston will also be a “Turn Back the Clock” event with players wearing replica uniforms from the 1920s and 30s. First pitch is at 1 p.m.

Bucs Turn Back the Clock and Rout Wharton
In a game that celebrated Blinn College baseball history, the 2009 team did not disappoint. The team wore replica uniforms from the 1920s and 1930s in a "Turn Back the Clock Night." The nostalgic Bucs faced Wharton Junior College in a Region XIV matchup and the new old-timey uniforms proved lucky. The Bucs routed Wharton 12-2 in a run rule-shortened game. Sophomore Trenton Irwin pitched all seven innings. Mario Eramo, David Tittle, Chris Hernandez, and Trey Johnson hit homeruns giving the Bucs 87 homeruns on the season. Blinn improves to 33-13 overall and 17-8 in Region XIV play and will face Wharton again on Saturday in a road game. The second "Turn Back the Clock" event is a doubleheader on April 25. Again, fans will be treated to 50-cent hotdogs and drinks as well as Big Band, Jazz and Swing music. Proceeds benefit Hospice Brazos Valley.

Buc Baseball Wins Two in Non-Conference Action
The Blinn College baseball team won two games against Concordia University in Round Rock. The Bucs won the first game 14-3 behind the pitching of Trey Johnson. The Bucs completed the sweep with an 11-1 win. Brit Robertshaw was the winning pitcher in the second game. The Bucs host Wharton County Junior College Wednesday for "Turn Back the Clock Night" with the team sporting replica uniforms from the 1920s and 1930s and proceeds going to Brazos Valley Hospice.

Blinn Baseball Hits and Pitches to Sweep
The Blinn College baseball team completed a three-game sweep of Alvin Community College with two wins at Leroy Dreyer Field. In today's doubleheader, the Buc's dropped Alvin 7-5 in game one and 9-3 in game two. Zach Hardoin was the winning pitcher the first game going seven innings and allowing just four hits and striking out seven. Michael Guerra, Jonathan Ogden and Trey Johnson added home runs in the opening game. In the second game, Michael Dixon throwing six innings allowing only one walk. Caldwell product Colton Eubanks pitched three scoreless innings in relief. Cody Morrison hit two home runs and Chris Hernandez added one of his own. The Bucs improve to 30-13 overall and 16-8 in Region XIV play.

The Blinn College baseball team defeated Region XIV foe Alvin Community College. The Bucs won 9-3 behind the pitching of Trenton Irwin. The Bucs return home on Thursday for a doubleheader against Alvin at 1 p.m.

In a Region XIV doubleheader against San Jacinto College, the Blinn Buccaneer baseball team fell 7-8 and 10-11. The Bucs return home on Thursday to face Alvin Community College in a doubleheader.

Blinn Baseball Drops Heartbreaker to San Jac
The Blinn College baseball team fell to San Jacinto College 5-6. The Bucs fell behind early until Trey Johnson hit a three-run homerun to put the Bucs up 4-1. San Jac regained the lead in specthost face San Jac again on Saturday in a doubleheader at Leroy Dreyer Field. Blinn will be the visitor for the games due to the loss of San Jac's field to the hurricane last year.

Blinn Baseball Walks over Laredo
The Blinn baseball team used a combination of hits and walks to wallop Laredo Community College 22-0 in seven innings. The Bucs scored on 12 hits and 14 walks. Freshman catcher Santiago Ruiz went 3 for 4 with seven runs batted in, including a grand slam in the fifth inning. Pitcher Michael Dixon threw five shutout innings.

Blinn Baseball Splits Doubleheader
In the start of the second round of the Region XIV South play, the Blinn College baseball team split a doubleheader with Laredo College. In the first game, the Bucs fell 3-1. The second game was another pitchers’ duel as sophomore Zach Hardoin pitched the Bucs to a 2-1 win. Blinn finishes the series tomorrow with the final game at noon.

Blinn Player verbally commits to Mississippi State University
Jonathon Ogden, a sophomore from Cy-Fair High School has just made a verbal commitment to attend Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS next year on an athletic scholarship to play baseball. The official signing date for all NCAA Division 1 baseball programs is April 6th-9th. Jonathon Ogden plays short stop for the Blinn Buc baseball team. He is the second member of the 2008-2009 Blinn Buc baseball team to sign with the Mississippi State University baseball program. Trey Johnson, a sophomore has also signed with Mississippi State University to play baseball.

Buc Baseball Pitches and Swings to Sweep
The Blinn College baseball team swept Region XIV foe Wharton County Junior College in a doubleheader at Leroy Dryer Field. The Bucs' pitching was helped by the offense in both games. In the first game, the Bucs won 6-2 on the pitching of Kendal Korbel, who threw a complete game including six strikeouts. In the field, the rarest of plays occured in the forth inning when the Buccaneers turned a 5-4-3-2 triple play to end a rally from the Pioneers. The Buc offense led the way with homeruns by Jonathan Ogden, Christian Woolridge, and Trey Johnson. In game two, the Bucs pulled away to win 15-3 in seven innings. Pitcher Zach Hardoin registered the win. After giving up three runs on three hits in the first inning, sHardoin ettled down and ended up with three hits with no runs in the remaining five innings. The Buc offense added another five homeruns in the second game. Blinn College improves to 20-8 overall and 9-3 in Region XIV play and will return to action at home on Wednesday at 6 p.m. against Galveston College.

The Blinn College baseball team dropped a Region XIV game at Wharton County Junior College. The Bucs fell 3-6. Their record moves to 19-7 overall and 7-3 in conference. The Bucs will play Wharton again on Saturday in a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Leroy Dreyer Field.

Blinn Baseball Rolls Concordia
The Blinn College baseball team swept Concordia University in a doubleheader. The Bucs won game one 14-1 with Trey Johnson pitching for the win. The offense was led by homeruns from Jonathan Ogden, Michael Guerra, Mario Eramo (2 homers) and a grand slam homerun by Santiago Ruiz. In game two, the Bucs rolled 8-1 with Broc Haymon getting the win. Will McCaleb kept the long ball going hitting two homeruns in the game. The Bucs (19-6) return to action on Wednesday at Wharton County Junior College.

Blinn Baseball Sinks the Dolphins
The Blinn College baseball team defeated Alvin Community College 10-0 in seven innings at Leroy Dryer Field Wednesday night. The game is the fourth consecutive home game for the Bucs and in those games sophomore outfielder Cody Morrison has been on a tear. In his 16 at bats, he is hitting .500 with four doubles and four homeruns totaling fourteen runs batted in. Tonight, Morrison went three for four with two homeruns and four runs batted in. Christian Woolridge and Zach Leonhardt also added homeruns for the Bucs. The defensive leader was sophomore pitcher Trenton Irwin who threw a complete game. The Bucs (15-5, 6-1 in Region XIV) travel to Alvin on Saturday for a doubleheader.

The Blinn College baseball team split a doubleheader with Region XIV foe San Jacinto College. In game one, the Bucs defeated San Jac 4-1 behind Cody Morrison who went one for two with a triple and two RBIs. Kendall Korbel was the winning pitcher in his first start of the year. Trenton Irwin got the save. In the second game, the Bucs fell 1-3 in a pitchers’ duel. The Bucs took two of three games from San Jacinto and improved to 14-5 overall and 5-1 in Region XIV play. Blinn Baseball Crushes San Jac
The Blinn College baseball team's bats came alive versus Region XIV rival San Jacinto College in a 17-9 win that featured two grand slam homeruns along with three single run homeruns. The star of the night was sophomore transfer Cody Morrison. Morrison went three for five with two grand slam homeruns accounting for eight runs batted in. Trey Johnson added two solo homeruns and Jonathan Ogden hit a homerun. Brian Smith was the winning pitcher. The Bucs will face San Jacinto College again on Saturday at Leroy Dreyer Field. First pitch is at 1 p.m.

The Blinn College baseball team completed the sweep of Laredo College with a 12-6 win. The Bucs swept a doubleheader yesterday versus Laredo. The Bucs scored sxi runs each in the seventh and eigth innings. The Bucs improve to 3-0 in Region XIV play, and 11-4 overall. The Bucs return home Wednesday to face the Gators of San Jacinto College.

The Blinn College baseball team started its Region XIV conference season Saturday with a doubleheader sweep of Laredo College. The Bucs defeated the Palominos 6-2 in the first game and 11-2 in the second. Zach Hardoin and Trenton Irwin were the winning pitchers. The Bucs improve to 2-0 in Region XIV play, and 10-4 overall. They play one game tomorrow versus Laredo to finish the series at noon in Laredo. The Bucs return home Wednesday to face the Gators of San Jacinto College.

The Blinn College baseball team dropped a two-game series to Temple College. In the first game, the Bucs fell 4-5. In game two, the Bucs fell 5-15. Blinn moves to 11-4 overall and will play their first Region XIV series at Laredo College Friday and Saturday.

The Blinn College baseball team fell in the closing game of the Leroy Dryer/ Don Wilhelm Classic. The Bucs dropped a 4-10 decision to Angelina College. The Bucs end the weekend 3-1 and are 8-2 overall. They return to action Tuesday versus Temple.

Blinn Baseball Drops #1 Ranked Grayson
In the second day of the Blinn College Baseball Leroy Dryer/ Don Wilhelm Classic the Bucs defeated preseason #1 and defending national champion Grayson College 10-9. The Bucs were tied 9-9 heading into the final inning as Phillip Butler hit a line drive single into left field with the bases loaded to win the game. Jonathan Delgado was the winning pitcher and Mario Eramo led the offense going two for three with a three-run homerun. The Bucs (9-1) play their last game of the tournament tomorrow at 4 p.m. versus Angelina College.

Blinn Baseball Sweeps First Day of Home Tournament
In the first day of the Blinn College Baseball Leroy Dryer/ Don Wilhelm Classic the Bucs scored a 5-1 win over Seminole State College. Trey Johnson and Cody Morrison smacked back-to-back homeruns as Zach Hardoin threw for a complete game. In the nightcap, the Bucs defeated Texarkana College 8-4. Trenton Irwin was the winning pitcher. Zach Leonhardt led the Bucs offense going two for two with three RBIs. The Bucs (8-1) play tomorrow at 8 p.m. versus the top-ranked and defending national champions Grayson College.

Blinn Baseball Splits Doubleheader
The Blinn College Bucs suffered their first loss of the season and then rebounded to run rule Northeast Texas Community College. In the first game, the Bucs fell 10-16. In the second game, the bats heated up as the Bucs defeated NETCC 15-4 in five innings. Jonathan Delgado was the winning pitcher as sophomore first baseman Zach Leonhardt went three for four with a homerun and five RBI's. The Bucs stay at home and play Tuesday at 3 p.m. against Panola College.

Blinn Baseball Wins Home Opener
The 2009 Blinn College baseball team made its home debut at Leroy Dryer Field. The Bucs defeated Northeast Texas Community College 9-5 in gusty conditions. Trenton Irwin was the winning pitcher and Broc Haymond earned the save. The Bucs offense was led by Michael Guerra and Mario Eramo, both had multi-run homeruns on the night. The Bucs return to the field tomorrow for a doubleheader versus Northeast Texas Community College beginning at noon.

Blinn Baseball Remains Undefeated
The Blinn College baseball team continued its winning ways and improved to 4-0 on the season by defeating McLennan Community College in a doubleheader. In the first game, the Bucs won 6-5 in extra innings, after scoring three runs in top of seventh to go to extra innings. In the second game, the Buccaneers won 4-0 in six innings. The game was shortened due to darkness. The Blinn baseball team plays its first home game on Friday at 6 p.m. versus Northeast Texas Community College.

Blinn Baseball Opens Season with Sweep
In the season opener, the Blinn College baseball team defeated Angelina College in a doubleheader in Lufkin. The Bucs won 8-7 in nine innings in game one and 7-4 in the second game. The Bucs combined for five homeruns in the games.
