Philosophy Statement
Here at Blinn we believe in providing a safe and healthy learning and working
environment through:

Information: Blinn College provides a written safety program,
a chemical hygiene plan, and Material Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals
handled.

Responsibility: The Natural Sciences Division provides written
materials, videos, and training about the hazards in the science laboratories
but it is the employees’ and students’ responsibility to work safely.

Priorities: Safety is a necessary part of every aspect of
working in a science laboratory. It is therefore expected that all
faculty, staff and students make it their top priority.

Attitude: Awareness that your actions and attitude affect
not only yourself, but those who work with you as well.
