Welcome to the Writing Center!
The Writing Center provides one-on-one tutoring for students in all courses at Blinn College. The Writing Center is nationally accredited with the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), and all of our tutors are professional tutors.
The Writing Center provides a relaxed environment in which students can feel comfortable asking questions and working on their writing.
The Writing Center helps you learn about writing so you can:
The mission of the Writing Center is to help students become better writers. We believe that writing is an ongoing process and that all students have the potential to communicate effectively through writing. The tutors strive to help students learn, not just make a better grade on an assignment.
The Writing Center is open to all Blinn students! If you are writing for any class at Blinn, we hope you will come and see us soon.

We are located in the Academic building, room A119, on the Bryan campus (see map). When you walk in, go straight back and look for our sign. You can't miss it!
Students sit down with a tutor for up to 45 minutes. The session focuses on one area of the writing process in which students have specific questions. The tutors guide students through the writing process and help them locate answers in textbooks, reference materials, and other resources.
To use the Writing Center, students may make an appointment or just walk in. To make an appointment, students should come to A119 and schedule a time in the appointment calendar or call 979-209-7591 and request one. It's that easy! Students may also stop by the Writing Center without an appointment; however, those students with appointments are seen first.
Appointments are strongly recommended. Students can make up to two appointments per week, and there is no limit on the number of times you can come in as a walk-in.
