English 1302 is a reading- and writing-intensive
prerequisite for sophomore-level English offerings that, through
the study of literature, further develops the analytical, thinking,
and research skills underlying academic success. The students'
writing of genre-based essays, including researched papers, reinforces
the thinking skills associated with interpretation, explication,
evaluation, analysis, and synthesis. Essays, including a 2000-word
documented library research-based literary analysis, are required.
The prerequisite for taking English 1302 is passing
English 1301 (Composition and Rhetoric).
I am not teaching this course this semester.
