Foreign Language Placement Exams

If you have prior knowledge/training in a language, you may try to place out of a beginning course by taking our department exam in French, German, Sign Language, or Spanish. Contact Irma Valdez, Asst. Division Chair, to arrange for an appointment to take this placement test. There is no charge for the exam.

Note: If you place out of a course, please note that you do not get any credit for the course you skip. To get credit for a skipped course, you must take the CLEP exam, which is given at Texas A&M but not at Blinn College.
