Special Education Applicants EC-12
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (official transcripts must be sent to TEACH Program Director)
- Should have a 2.5 or higher overall GPA
- MUST present minimum scores from one of the following:
THEA:
Reading: 250
Mathematics: 250
Writing: 220
ACT:
English: 19
Mathematics: 19
SAT:
Verbal: 500
Mathematics: 500
ACCUPLACER:
Reading Comprehension: 78
Elementary Algebra: 63
Sentence Skills: 80
Written Essay: 6
ADVANCED DEGREE COMPLETION (with official transcript verification):
Master's Degree
Doctorate Degree
- Must have a combined 12 hours minimum in Literature and Composition and Rhetoric and social sciences (history, government, political science or geography) courses excluding developmental coursework
- Must have a combined 12 hours minimum in math and science
- Must have a 2.5 or higher GPA in Literature, Composition, and Social Science courses
Additional requirements for candidates who meet primary requirements are as follows:
- Must participate in a structured personal interview with TEACH program representatives
- Must have three letters of reference sent to TEACH Program Assistant
