Blinn College TEACH program requirements
English/Language Arts/Reading/Social Studies 4-8
|
Primary requirements are as follows:
English/LA Applicants
4-8
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher
from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (official
transcripts must be sent to TEACH Program Director)
- Must have a 2.5 or higher overall GPA
- MUST take the THEA test
and meet the minimum THEA scores as follows:
220 Writing
250 Reading
230 Mathematics
- Must have 12 hours minimum in Literature
and Composition and Rhetoric courses excluding developmental coursework
- Must have 12 hours
minimum in Social Sciences courses (Qualifying areas include History,
Government, Political Science, and Geography)
- Must have a 2.5 or higher GPA in Literature,
Composition, and Social Science courses
Additional requirements for candidates who
meet primary requirements are as follows:
- Must participate in a structured personal
interview with TEACH program representatives
- Must complete a computer literacy skills
test
- Must have three letters of reference sent
to TEACH Program Assistant
