Blinn College TEACH program requirements ESL EC-4 and 4-8

ESL Applicants EC-4 and 4-8

  • Must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (official transcripts must be sent to TEACH Program Director)
  • Should have a 2.5 or higher overall GPA (Minimum of 12 English/Social Science hours and 12 Math/Science hours required)
  • MUST present minimum scores from one of the following:

    THEA:
    Reading: 250
    Mathematics: 250
    Writing: 220

    ACT:
    English: 19
    Mathematics: 19

    SAT:
    Verbal: 500
    Mathematics: 500

    ACCUPLACER:
    Reading Comprehension: 78
    Elementary Algebra: 63
    Sentence Skills: 80
    Written Essay: 6

    ADVANCED DEGREE COMPLETION (with official transcript verification):
    Master's Degree
    Doctorate Degree

     

Additional requirements for candidates who meet primary requirements are as follows:

  • Must participate in a structured personal interview with TEACH program representatives
  • Must have three letters of reference sent to TEACH Program Assistant
