Message from the Chancellor: September 21, 2021

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I would like to thank each of you for making the start of our fall semester so successful. As you know, Blinn is open and offering students a full array of campus services and activities, including academic resources, athletics, campus housing and dining, and student activities. Courses are underway in a variety of modalities, including traditional face-to-face courses and classes that incorporate online instruction.

In August, we announced that rotational work schedules would take place through Friday, October 1st. During the current statewide increase in COVID cases, this strategy has proven to be an effective tool in ongoing efforts to keep our campus communities safe. Accordingly, we are extending faculty and staff rotational work schedules through the remainder of the fall semester, and faculty may continue to conduct office hours on campus or remotely. Supervisors should submit their departmental work schedules to the Human Resources Department for approval by Monday, September 27th.

As the term progresses, we will continue to utilize Back With Blinn guidelines, available at, and ask all students, employees, and vendors to continue daily self-certification using the Campus Clear app.

Washington County EMS will administer Moderna COVID-19 vaccines in the Brenham Campus Student Center, Meeting Rooms 2 and 3 (across from the Janis Sneed Banquet Room), from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Friday, September 24th, and from 3:30-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29th. No appointment is required and more information is available by calling 979-209-7400 or emailing

Thank you again for all you are doing to keep our campus communities healthy and safe. If we can answer questions or provide additional information, please reach out to your departmental leadership, vice chancellor, or me and we will be happy to assist.

Mary Hensley, Ed.D.

Chancellor of the Blinn College District
