The Agricultural Sciences Program is one of the fastest growing and largest divisions at the Blinn College. Enrollment in Blinn agriculture classes tops more than 700 students each semester, with more than 950 declared Ag majors in 2010. Blinn offers agriculture classes on all of its campuses (Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg and Sealy), with the hub of the program located on the home campus in Brenham.
Agriculture at Blinn is an academically-driven program providing accredited courses that either lead to an Associate Degree or can transfer to major universities. Blinn is an active member of the Agriculture Consortium of Texas and maintains very close associations with department heads and representatives from all Texas agriculture universities to assure a smooth transition for our students.
The Division of Agriculture Sciences has one of the most active extra-curricular programs in the state. Blinn offers educational activities in the areas of livestock judging, Blinn Agriculture Club, wildlife, agriculture mechanics, horticulture, and agriculture sciences.
