These instructions explain how to customize and utilize the web mail
interface.

General Navigation
- Click on the Subject of a message to view the entire message
- Do not use the Back button in your browser. Instead use the navigation buttons
in the web mail interface to move between messages, the Inbox and other folders.
- Use the
icon above the different
columns to change the sorting of messages.
Change the order messages are sorted by default
- select the Options button
- select Appearance
- under the Message List View heading, pull down the selection box list next
to Sort Messages and select either oldest first or oldest last
Change the number of messages displayed at a time
- select the Options button
- select Appearance
- under the Message List View heading, pull down the selection box next to Show
and choose from 10-100 messages per page.
Creating addresses in the Address book
- You can not import an existing address book into the web mail address book
- While reading a message either click on the address in the From line or click
the icon Add Addresses
Accessing Blinn address directory
While composing a new message click on the Address book icon.
- Click the Search button in the middle of the window
- Change Search Personal Address Book to Search Corporate Directory
- Enter a first or last name and then select the desired entry

Creating and viewing Folders
Click on the Folder button. The bar will change to allow you to create, rename
and view folders.
It is not recommended using the Share and Subscribe options at this time.
Using e-mail filters
The web mail does not have the feature to automatically filter messages into
certain folders. Instead, you can select the Search icon and choose the search
criteria. Once you have the desired results click 'Select All' at the bottom
of the window and then pull down the 'Move messages to folder' at the top of
the window and select a folder.
Deleting messages
When you select to delete a message it moves the message to the Trash folder
by default. You must then go and Expunge the message from the Trash folder to
remove the message permanently. An option is to add the Expunge
icon to your toolbar.
- When reading a message click the Delete icon
- When in the Inbox, select messages by checking the corresponding Select box
and then click the Delete icon
Other deleting options can be found under Options and Settings

Add Expunge icon
Expunge immediately deletes the message from the server. You can add this icon
to your Inbox view.
- Select Option button
- Select Settings
- Click 'Mark messages deleted (use Expunge to delete permanently)' under Deleting

Changing e-mail password
- Select Option button
- Select Password
- Enter your old password and new password twice and click on Change Password
Setting an Out-of-Office or Vacation message
- Select Options button
- Select Vacation Message
- Check 'Enable automatic vacation reply'
- Enter the beginning and end date for the auto reply message
- Enter how many days to wait before sending your auto reply message again to
the same sender
- Enter a subject for your auto reply message
- Enter a message that Blinn employees will receive in the 'The following text
will be included in your vacation message to internal senders:' box
- Enter a message non-Blinn employees will receive in the 'The following text
will be included in your vacation message:' box
- Select Save Changes button
