Dr. Dennis Crowson brings 24 years of higher education experience to his role as Blinn’s vice president for student services, overseeing the College’s Enrollment Management, Financial Aid, Student Life, Advising, Health Center, and Disability Services divisions.
Crowson has spent more than 21 years with Blinn, first as a computer programmer and dean of academic technology services before serving 11 years as registrar. Crowson left Blinn in 2008 to become a technical consultant for SunGard Higher Education, where he consulted for American universities such as Dartmouth and Notre Dame and institutions as far away as Hong Kong and Australia, before returning to Blinn in 2012.
Crowson holds a Bachelor’s of Engineering Science from the University of Texas (1985), a Master’s of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University (1995) and a Doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska (2005).
Crowson, who lives in Brenham, is an active member of the community, serving as president of the Washington County Coastal Conservation Association. He has been on the board of directors for Washington County Boys and Girls Club, Chamber of Commerce, Brenham Gun and Rod Club, Washington County Little League and the Brenham Community Development Corporation, and volunteers for Rotary Club of Washington County and Goodfellows of Washington County.
