Cathy Boeker brings 14 years of human resources and external affairs experience to her role as associate vice president.
Boeker established Blinn’s Government & Public Affairs division and has expanded the College’s partnership with community organizations, including area chambers of commerce. She directed the implementation of a robust e-presence for communicating and archiving College information and converted the College’s Public Information Office into a Marketing & Communications department.
She has increased visibility of the College’s Small Business Development Center and Star of the Republic Museum, as well as the services each provides, and has established a comprehensive grant development process.
Boeker served as chair of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the chamber’s retail development taskforce committee and its legislative committee. She was founding chair of the American Cancer Society Washington County Relay for Life and served on the Camp for All Friends Board and Washington County Rotary Club.
She earned her Associate in Arts from Blinn College before earning her BBA in human resource management at Sam Houston State University and her MBA from Texas Woman’s University.
