Advising Days

While starting college is an exciting time for students, the first year can be a trying time for students. The Texas A&M/Blinn College co-enrolled programs are a unique opportunity, but they also include unique challenges. Blinn College wants all students to be successful and to help our co-enrolled students, we require all students entering into a co-enrolled program to be advised.

We facilitate the advising requirement by offering Blinn College Advising Days*specifically designed for students participating in our co-enrolled programs. These Advising Days allow students to learn more about successfully navigating their respective program as well as about life at Blinn College. Additionally, Advising Days offer students the chance to visit one-on-one with both an A&M and Blinn academic advisor.

Registration
Registration is now open for all dates

Students will be able to register for an available date after they have completed their admissions file with Blinn College.  Once a student’s file is complete they will be able to access the registration system via their myBlinn portal.  The link for registration will be located in the Personal Information box under the My Records tab.  After a student has registered for a date and session, if they need to make any changes please email team@blinn.edu.     

Guests
Due to Space constraints students will be limited to bring a maximum of 2 guests to attend the event with them.  No more than 2 guests will be admitted into the sessions with the student.

Registration Fee
There will be a one-time registration fee for the Blinn College Advising event. Student’s registration is $25 and each guest (maximum of 2 allowed) will be $10 per person. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations.

Changes or Cancellation:
No need to re-submit a new registration for changes. If you need to change or cancel your Blinn College Advising Day session date and/or time for any reason send an email to team@blinn.edu at least 48 hrs prior to the event.  Space is limited and attendance will be determined based on order of registration and payment; therefore, we cannot guarantee availability for rescheduling of a date. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations.

Each day will have 5 different times to choose from and students should expect to be done in 3-4 hours. 

* Please note that these dates are only for students that have been offered admissions by Texas A&M University to the TEAM/TEAB programs. Non-TEAM/TEAB students need to attend a Blinn New Student Orientation.

Please refer to the First Steps section to ensure you have submitted the required documents to allow for registration for the Blinn College Advising Days.

Location

Rudder Tower – Texas A&M University

Check in will be on the first floor of Rudder Tower.  Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your session start time to allow for parking and check in. 
Parking:

Texas A&M offers several pay parking lots for visitors.  The University Center Parking Garage will be the closest location to Rudder Tower.  You can visit Texas A&M’s Transportation Services website for more information on parking options and prices.

Dining

Each registered attendee will be issues a dining voucher to use at the Texas A&M Dining Facilities.  You will receive the voucher at check-in.
