This course will be an application of the essential components of successful convention and meeting planning. Students will study ways to identify the economic impact of the conventions industry; be able to describe and compare the various types of conventions, exhibitions, conferences, and the marketing tools used for pre-planning strategies; and identify requirements for food and beverage service, meeting room set-ups, and post-meeting evaluations.
Paired courses can accelerate the journey from developmental classes through credit classes. Enrolling in a Learning Community Paired Course matches a developmental class with a for-credit class allowing students to excel through academic work in a supportive environment.
