Mr. Latterman was born and raised in Bryan, Texas. He is married with two children.

Mr. Latterman received his Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in teaching and coaching and his Master's Degree in Kinesiology both from Sam Houston State University in 1978 and 1981 respectively. He is also certified, by American Red Cross, as a CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor.

Mr. Latterman joined Blinn in the Fall of 2002. He teaches Responding to Emergencies (First Aid), Personal Health, Drugs Use and Abuse and Foundations of Kinesiology.

Mr. Latterman has also taught at Southwest Texas State Community College and Region Six Educational Service Center.
