Shirley Abraham

   

 

Shirley Abraham teaches Business and Professional Speaking & Oral Interpretation. Mrs. Abraham is married and the mother of four children – two girls and two boys.  She has a vast range of teaching experiences having taught in junior high, high school, and college in the Dallas area (Richardson School District and Richland College).  In the College Station area, she taught public school and joined Blinn – Bryan in 1983 as an evening instructor.  She proceeded to add classes at Blinn College until she became full-time status in 1993.  She has taught Introduction to Speech and Business and Professional Speaking.  Around 1996, she began building a creative form of performing speech called Oral Interpretation!  It is a key course in the Fine Arts curriculum at Blinn - Bryan today.  Mrs. Abraham’s degrees include the following: Bachelor of Fine Arts (University of Texas), Masters in Educational Media and Technology (East Texas State University - now Texas A & M Commerce).  She has twenty-four hours of specialized graduate Speech and Drama Courses from Texas A&M and Southwest Texas University in San Marcos.
