Dr. Rosemary Kunesh, Ph.D. has taught at Blinn College since
1996. She currently teaches public speaking courses through Blinn’s
distance education program. Since 2000, Dr. Degner has also taught
research communication courses in the College of Architecture at
Texas A&M University. In 2003, she was the recipient of a NISOD
Teaching Excellence Award.
The educational background for Dr. Degner includes a Ph.D. in
Urban and Regional Science from Texas A&M University, a Master
of Science in Management Communication from University of Portland,
and a Bachelor of Business Administration also from the University
of Portland. In addition, she is completing a second doctorate
degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
For the past decade, Dr. Degner has helped students, young public
speakers, graduate students, and business entrepreneurs to overcome
their fear of public speaking and to present effective speeches.
She encourages students to develop effective communication by
using a strategy that builds upon communication strengths, challenges,
and skills.
