COSC 1301 Microcomputer Applications

Introduction to the use of computers as data processing and problem-solving tools with hands on experience. Emphasis is placed on the use of application software, such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and Internet software, to solve various information systems problems. Three class hours per week. Credit: Three semester hours.

COSC 1420 C Programming

This course covers programming language "C". Emphasis is placed on structured and modular programming techniques. Basic data structures and object oriented programming are utilized. Three class hours and three laboratory class hours per week. Credit: Four semester hours.

COSC 1430 Variable Topic Programming Language (Java)

Introduction to computer languages which are currently in demand. Language topics change as required. Emphasis is placed on the fundamentals of structured design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation. Topics also include syntax, data structures and input / output operations. May be repeated for credit. Three class hours and two laboratory hours per week. Credit: four semester hours.

COSC 1436 Programming Fundamentals I

Introduces the fundamental concepts of structured programming. Topics include software development methodology, data types, control structures, functions, arrays, and the mechanics of running, testing, and debugging. This course assumes computer literacy. Four class hours per week. Credit: Four semester hours.

Business Computer Information Systems - BCIS 1305 Business Computer Applications

This course discusses computer terminology, hardware, software, operating systems, and information systems relating to the business environment. The main focus of this course is business applications of software including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics, and business-oriented utilization of the Internet. Three class hours per week. Credit: Three semester hours.
